Do you need household help
You can seek (paid) household help in your own area. You can also use a laundry service for your laundry, a meal service for your food or a supermarket delivery service for your groceries.

In that case, you may be able to get household help under the Social Support Act (Wmo). Contact MIEP Huishoudservice and Thuiszorg Het Friese Land. Submit your application online (opens in new tab) (you will need DigiD). Are you unwilling or unable to apply online? Download and complete the Wmo Application Form (opens in new tab) and fill in. Send the form to the City of Leeuwarden. You can also hand it in at the Town Hall.

What happens next?
- A local authority employee will call you within 6 weeks of your application.
- A telephone interview or home visit will follow to discuss your situation.
- You will look for a suitable solution together.
- You will be informed within 2 weeks of the interview whether you can be given household help via a PGB.
- If there are many applications, this may take longer. We will inform you of this.
Support under the Social Support Act (Wmo) costs money
The local authority pays a large part of these costs. Some of the costs you pay yourself. We call this a personal contribution towards the costs.
