Go to your local buurt- of dorpskamer (community centre). Or go to the Meedenkpunt (help centre) at the City Hall.
You do not need an appointment to go to the Meedenkpunt. You can ask questions about matters such as an unclear letter you received from the municipality, an allowance or information about your benefits.

The citizen affairs (burgerzaken) department works by appointment. To apply for passports, identity and driving licences, you can drop by without an appointment at some times (free walk-in). Disabled access
The Town Hall is easily accessible for the disabled from the Oldehoofsterkerkhof side. The entrance on the Nieuwestad side can only be accessed by stairs.
