What are the conditions?

These are the conditions for applying for an exemption for carbide shooting:

  • Apply for the exemption by December 1.
  • Carbide shooting is allowed on 31 December between 1 pm and 6 pm. An exemption from the Sunday Law is required.
  • The property owner must give permission in writing. For example, in a letter.
  • Only milk urns with a maximum capacity of 50 litres may be used.
  • Carbide shooting is only allowed outside built-up areas.
  • There must be 75 metres of clear shooting space. Without any public paths or roads.
  • There must be no shooting towards homes.
  • The distance from homes is at least 75 metres.
  • The distance to animal keeping facilities is at least 300 metres.
  • The shooting range is well lit when it gets dark.
  • Carbide shooting must not cause danger to persons, animals or the environment.
