Quick to:

Which events are subject to additional conditions?

Events with a major impact on nature must be reported to the Province of Friesland at least six months in advance. These are events that:

  • attract more than 2,000 visitors a day;
  • make use of amplified sound and artificial lighting;
  • last for several days;
  • continue in the evening (after 6 pm) and;
  • are organised in or close to a Natura 2000 area.

Is it a smaller event?

Does your event not fall under above conditions? In that case, it is possible that you will not need a nature permit. Contact the Province of Friesland for advice. Allow for an application period of 13 weeks.
