Polling station opening hours

You can cast your vote from 07:30am to 9.00pm on 6 June 2024.

What if you are still queuing at the polling station at 9pm?

In that case, you can stay in the queue and cast your vote.

Do you want to watch the counting after 9pm?

You are welcome. However, we do expect you to follow the instructions of the polling officials.

Bring to the polling station

  • Your voting card. More information on e.g. your voting pass, proxy, voter card can be found on the Voting during the elections page.
  • Your proof of identity. This document has been valid for a maximum of five years on 6 June 2024. That means that ‘valid until’ should read 7 June 2019 or a later date.

What are valid identity documents?

  • A Dutch passport
  • A Dutch ID card
  • A Dutch driving licence
  • A Dutch residence document
  • Passport, identity card or driving licence from an EU country, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway
  • Passport or identity card from Switzerland

No proof of ID?

Authorise someone else to vote for you. This is called a request for a voting proxy. It must be received by the local authority no later than 3 June 2024. More information can be found on the Voting during elections page.
