Do you not want the local authority to pass on your personal data to, for example, lawyers, associations and non-commercial companies or institutions? In that case, you can apply for ‘confidentiality of personal data’. This is free and you can arrange it for yourself and for your minor children.

Who uses your personal data

All government agencies. The Tax Authorities and the UWV Employee Insurance Agency, for example. This is also the case if you have submitted a request for your personal data to be kept confidential to the local authority. The local authority never discloses your personal data to commercial companies or individuals.

Moving to a different municipality

You do not need to take any action. The confidentiality of personal data also applies in the new district.
