If we align the two processes, we can use space, energy resources and infrastructure more efficiently.

What is the goal?

The goal is to develop collaborative strategies between stakeholders, businesses and governments to create sustainable cities with well-developed energy districts.

Why do we need to take up these challenges?

To better align city planning and energy systems. Lack of alignment could be caused by a lack of incentives or legislation for different stakeholders. Or a lack of renewable heat sources with sufficient reliability and flexibility.

How do we help?

The City of Leeuwarden helps the FLEXPOSTS project partners by sharing information and ideas during the project.
