Quick to:

Are you unwilling or unable to make the emigration notification online?

In that case, make an appointment and come to the Town Hall.

Who can register an emigration?

  • Anyone aged 16 or above. Parents, guardians or caregivers register emigration for children under 16.
  • Administrators register emigration for people under administration.
  • Parents and their children (over the age of 16) can report each other’s emigration. You must live at the same address.
  • Spouses or registered partners may register each other’s emigration. You must live at the same address.

Not all family members emigrate

If some family members are not emigrating but are remaining at the current address, all persons who are emigrating must come to the Town Hall in person. You will need to make an appointment.
