Check other loans first

Before you apply for the sustainability grant, check the local authority’s conditions of borrowing from the Heat Fund and the Home Equity Loan first.

Heat Fund

For owner-occupiers with a collective income of less than € 60,000, the Energy Savings Loan via the Heat Fund may be more attractive than the Sustainability Loan. The Energy Saving Loan from the Heat Fund charges an interest rate of 0% for this target group. You will find more information at the Heat Funds website.

Home equity loan

Is your property worth more than your mortgage? Are you aged 57 or above? To you want to continue to live safely and comfortably or make your home more sustainable? Then check the terms and conditions of the home equity loan. More information can be found on the Home equity loan page.

Requirements and conditions sustainability loan

  • You can borrow a minimum of €2,500 up to a maximum of €7,499
  • You pay off the loan within 120 to 180 months.
  • Owners who live in the home can apply for the sustainability loan.
  • Landlords and tenants cannot apply for the loan.
  • The applicant must be at least 18 years old. There is no maximum age limit.
  • The loan is not suitable for home batteries. Applies only to the measures on the application form.

What happens after the application?

We assess whether you meet the requirements and conditions. If you meet the requirements and conditions, you will receive an application form. You must submit this application form to the Public Housing Incentive Fund (SVn).

When will you receive a response to your registration?

You will receive a response from the municipality within a few days.

How long does an application take with the SVn?

About 5 to 10 working days.
