This certifies that you live in the City of Leeuwarden. Apply for the extract online. You will need DigiD and will need to pay online. We will send the extract to your home address within one working day. Digital applications can only be made for yourself.
Are you unwilling or unable to apply online?
Make an appointment for your visit. We cannot help you without an appointment. The dates you see when you schedule your appointment online are the only dates available. We therefore ask you not to contact us by phone for an appointment at another time.
- Take valid proof of ID with you. This could be an ID card, passport or driver’s licence.
- The extract is payable in case or by PIN at the counter.
- You will be given the extract straight away.
Applications for others
You can also apply for a BRP extract for:
- your spouse or registered partner living at the same address;
- your child living at the same address (even if they are over 18 years old);
- someone who has authorised you.
In these cases, you will need to go to the city hall.
Applications by lawyers and civil-law notaries
Are you a lawyer or civil-law notary, and do you need an extract from the Key Register of Persons (BRP) for a client? You can apply for this online. An online application will take 2 weeks to process. You will not receive a refund if the Leeuwarden local authority does not have any information about this person.
Are you unwilling or unable to apply online?
Send a letter (letterhead bearing your company’s logo) to the Leeuwarden local authority for the attention of the Civil Affairs department. An application by letter will take a maximum of 4 weeks to process. You will not receive a refund if the Leeuwarden local authority does not have any information about this person.
