Nieuw Oud Oost
A new neighbourhood is arising on the spot that saw year of football being played and supporters congregating: Nieuw Oud Oost. The old Cambuur stadium is making way for a green and vibrant neighbourhood close to the Leeuwarden city centre.
Making plans together
The Nieuw Oud Oost plans where made together with residents and other involved parties over the course of the past few years. They collaborated with us on the design of the neighbourhood during talks, meetings and walks through the area. These ideas have been incorporated into the current plans.
From planning to living
The plans for Nieuw Oud Oost are now being turned into reality step by step. After years of preparation and joint designing, we now enter the phase where the first homes are being put up for sale and the neighbourhood is infused with life.
Project developer Leyten is taking care of communication about the housing offer and the planning through the Nieuw Oud Oost (Opens in new tab) website. Elkien en WoonFriesland are also building homes in the neighbourhood. These are meant to be let.
