Com’ON supports young people in carrying out their ideas
Com’ON is a European project within the URBACT programme through which the local authority intends to improve its Project500. Project500 gives young people the opportunity to carry out their ideas and help think about the future of the city. This will make Leeuwarden more inclusive and more fun for young people. Com’ON will support young people with this.
The project
Leeuwarden works with other European cities to discover how they can support young people in carrying out their plans. By exchanging knowledge and experiences, we learn how young people can actively help make decisions and how their ideas can be implemented.
Goal and approach
We want to give young people the opportunity to carry out good ideas with limited funds. We do this by:
- collaborating with local organisations and European cities to share experiences with projects that resemble Project500;
- building a network that helps young people carry out their plans.
Project partners
- Cluj-Napoca (Romania, main partner)
- Bielsko-biała (Poland)
- Veszprém (Hungary)
- Piacenza (Italy)
- Valongo (Portugal)
Project period
From November 2025 to April 2028.
Budget
The costs for this project are approximately €124,525.
The URBACT programme pays for 70%, and the local authority pays for 30%.
