Adult Education in Friesland grant
Do you want to organise an activity in Friesland to help adults improve their basic skills? In that case, you can apply for the Adult Education in Friesland grant. With this grant scheme, we encourage activities that help residents with reading, writing, maths and working with computers.
Are you unwilling or unable to apply online?
Download and complete the Adult Education in Friesland 2026 grant scheme application form. Send the form to the City of Leeuwarden. You can also hand it in at the Town Hall.
Grant conditions
The grant will be provided if:
- The activity will help improve basic skills on a lasting basis.
- The activity will have at least 6 participants.
- The Dutch language will be used during the activity.
- A professional or well-trained volunteer will supervise the activity.
Application conditions
- Draw up a plan for the activities and make sure the budget adds up.
- Explain how the basic skills will be improved and which results will be measurable.
- Explain how you intend to attract participants.
- Describe who will carry out the activities and how volunteers will be trained.
- Provide an overview of what will happen after the activities for which a grant has been provided.
- Explain how the teacher is involved in the activities.
